My first published ad was literally the size of a building. Produced while interning at Merkley + Partners in NYC. This outdoor board was meant to be a “fu*k you” from the New York Post to the Daily Mail, since the Post’s subscribers were rapidly approaching Daily Mail’s. Inspired by the common
”Have a nice day!” plastic bodega bags, the board was placed right across the street from the Daily Mail offices.

Fun fact: the smiley face image was the original Harvey Ross Ball art, and the rights had to be purchased from a company in Japan who mysteriously held them since Harvey Ross Ball never copyrighted the image himself.
